Description
Deep Void Observatory 1.0.0 is a custom WordPress theme and companion plugin built from an approved observatory mockup and production asset pack. The public site is a cinematic observatory: instrument panels, a hero target, an anomaly feed, and tracked targets. Text on the page is real HTML. Supplied animation loops that had baked-in mockup lettering are used only as cropped motion or as a faint background, not as readable copy.
WHAT YOU GET
– An installable theme ZIP and an installable core plugin ZIP, source, a demo dataset you install from inside wp-admin, and documentation (install, admin, architecture, assets, customization, testing, known issues, changelog).
– Observations, Anomalies, and Targets as their own content, with the fields documented in the admin guide (status, classification, coordinates, confidence, tracking, and related target, among others).
– Mission Control: counts taken from your published, draft, and in-progress items, the configured hero target, a setup checklist, and recent entries. The guide states those numbers come from your content, not from placeholder math.
– Site Presentation for identity lines, the hero target, the highlighted anomaly, system-status rows, instrument readouts, which homepage sections show, footer text, a contact email, and up to three social links.
– Motion controls: Full, Hero only, or Off. Visitors who ask the operating system for reduced motion get stills. A Pause motion control is remembered in that browser.
– Branded admin styling you can switch off. Native WordPress menus stay available. Demo content can be installed, repaired, or removed.
KEY DETAILS
– WordPress 6.4 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer, MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.4+. Tested on WordPress 7.1.2, PHP 8.5, and MariaDB 11.
– Activate the core plugin first, then the theme. Install the fictional demo from Deep Void Observatory → Demo / Setup if you want the starter set.
– Instrument readouts are presentation values you edit, not live telemetry. The UTC clock uses the visitor's clock.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
– Not a real observatory, telescope feed, or live spacecraft dashboard.
– Not a booking, payment, or member-login product.
