Panel Planet 1.0.7 — Comic Publisher WordPress Theme + Core Plugin

Description

Panel Planet is a retro comic-book WordPress theme with a hand-lettered masthead, color-coded navigation, six-cover homepage rack, This Week’s Pull List, announcement starburst and comic/series/creator pages.

Features and contents

Panel Planet Core provides Comics, Series and Creators, Gutenberg reading pages and Editorial Desk. Publishing a comic updates the six newest homepage covers and pull list; manual curation remains available. Includes native Media cover replacement, feature spotlight, editable homepage text, removable samples, branding settings and optional WooCommerce styling/product links.

Buyer package identified: panel-planet-buyer-1.0.7.zip, containing installable theme and Core plugin ZIPs, readable source, demo setup notes, documentation, historical QA results and checksums. Install Core first, then the theme; save permalinks.

Requirements and limits

WordPress 6.6+, PHP 8.1+, a WordPress-supported MySQL/MariaDB database and GD or Imagick. WooCommerce is optional and separate; WooCommerce 11.2 requires WordPress 7.0+. No paid builder or commerce dependency is needed for publishing. No full comic interiors, hosting, forum/membership platform, payment gateway or newsletter service are included. Caches must purge on publish.

Artwork and licenses

The approved frontend and admin mockups were generated with Grok and supplied by the owner for this project. The demo covers, logo, masthead and derived visual assets use those mockups. Demo art and fictional publisher names are sample content; replace them with your own comics and branding for your live site. This provenance statement does not promise exclusive copyright or transfer trademark rights. Theme and plugin code remains GPL-2.0-or-later. Bundled Bangers and Oswald fonts retain their SIL Open Font License 1.1 notices.

The 1.0.7 buyer package has a documentation-only provenance correction dated October 8, 2026. Functional code and artwork files are unchanged. Included QA reports describe historical release checks.
